Mechanical Designer

Norcan Hydraulic Turbine is a leader in the design and manufacturing of quality products and services for the hydroelectric industry. This is an excellent opportunity to join the rapidly growing renewable energy industry.

We are looking for a mechanical designer to join our mechanical design group. The ideal candidate is a designer with five years experience in the hydraulic turbine industry. He or she is a mechanical technologist and possesses excellent drafting skills used to produce machining and fabrication drawings, assemblies, and bill of materials.

Job Expertise:

Mechanical Technologist diploma or combination of education & work experience
A minimum five years of design experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with basic SolidWorks is mandatory
All candidates must have clear and concise communication skills
Experience with the design of rotating equipment would be an asset
Excellent analytical thinking and independent judgment
Excellent attention to detail & self organization
